8 hours

8 hours... I am just amazed as Tommy slept for almost 8 hours last night. I woke up at 2:30am to check on him but he was sleeping away! Hopefully, he can keep sleeping through the night as I am really enjoying sleeping! I can't believe this happened as I did not think I would ever get to sleep again.

Tommy meets his grandpa

Grandpa singing Jimmy Buffet to Tommy!

The first meeting!

My Dad and his girlfriend Kris came to visit this week! It was great as Tommy got to meet his Grandpa Petrik for the first time. Tommy is named after my dad so it was fun to see them interact. Tommy loved being held by Grandpa. My dad liked to sing him Jimmy Buffet songs. We went hiking, out to eat and hung out by the pool.

Joe and Tommy reunite after 5 days

When the husband is away the girls will play!

My mom bought Tommy his first taggie toy - a toy where babies
like to suck on all of the tags.

Joe went away for the weekend last week. He flew back to ND for an annual ice fishing trip with friends from ND. They only caught one fish so I think they were having more fun playing Nintendo, drinking and playing cards. Joe was so excited to see his friends. All he ate was Valley City pizzas and Village hot sauce. He flew into Bismarck and then drove with a friend to Walker, MN where they went "ice fishing." He only wore a t-shirt and shorts back to ND where it was freezing. Everyone looked at him weird when he walked into a gas station. My mom came and stayed with me while Joe was gone as I did not want to stay home alone with the baby for five days. We had a lot of fun. We went hiking, shopping and out to eat. She was crying when she left and we really miss her. I am going to try and make it home in April to see everyone. I will for sure be home in June for a couple weeks as my cousin Brian is getting married and I like getting out of the heat.

Family

I have been meaning to post new pics for a long time but we have had family in town and Joe was gone in ND for 5 days. My mom came and stayed with me while Joe was gone as I did not want to stay home alone yet with Tommy. We had a great time together and my mom cried when she left. Tommy has been fussy all day today so I think he misses his Grandma or it could be gas or both! My dad and his girlfriend are in town visiting now until Wednesday. Joe just got done grilling an awesome meal for all of us. Tommy is passed out for the moment as he has not slept all day with bad gas. So, hopefully he can sleep tonight. I have tons of pics so I hope to update the blog later this week. Tommy just woke up and is hungry so I am off....

LOVE - more pics coming soon!

Thanks Katie for the cute outfit!

Flowers from Joe! I love pink!

Father and son both love their sweater vests!

As soon as church is over I jump right back into my
comfy clothes!

We had an awesome weekend! I hate to brag but my husband deserves it as he made this past weekend so special! I feel so lucky to have such an amazing husband. I woke up on Saturday to the sound of breakfast being made. I enjoyed the eggs and tator tots and then headed off to a day at the spa. Yes, that is right... Joe sent me off for the day to get pampered while he hung out with Tommy. I got a pedicure, manicure, massage, lunch, steam session and an eye brow wax. I felt so relaxed and special. Joe stopped by while I was getting my pedicure with Tommy and all the ladies at the salon thought Joe and Tommy were so cute and I felt so lucky to be so blessed. I am so thankful for Joe. I then came home and the two of us hung out in our pajamas and ate dinner over candlelight while Tommy slept. Joe grilled steak and chicken and the steak was so delicious that I wanted it again for breakfast the next morning but we had eaten all of it the night before. Joe is a really good cook. Maybe that is why I am having trouble losing the last 15 pounds of my baby weight.

My mom bought Tommy a "bunting" outfit
meaning she wants us to come home to ND with him and now
we can since he has an outfit that will keep him warm in the snow.

It was cold outside in AZ yesterday so we put
Tommy in the outfit before we took him on a walk.

Cold in AZ is 40-5o degrees!

Tommy loved his outfit as he kept trying to eat the lining.

Tommy has been sleeping better at night. He has slept a
couple of times for 5-6 hours at night.

I usually let Tommy take naps out in the living room by me
during the day but I am now starting to have him sleep in
his bassinet or crib during nap time.

Tommy all ready for church on Tuesday in his
cool sweatshirt and khaki pants! Check out the booties!

This is what happens when you don't want your baby to cut
his face with his nails. You cover his hands with socks as
they stay on! Tommy loves his little turtle toy!
